Unlike our standard pvc banners, the 300gsm mesh banner is more suited to windy outdoor conditions. This product offers less wind resistance, as the air can pass through the thousands of tiny holes that have been incorporated into the material. Our mesh banners are therefore ideal for large coverage on fences or building wraps.

Our printed 300gsm PVC mesh banners allow larger banners to be installed in windy locations where a normal PVC banner would not be suitable. 25% of the mesh material is open, allowing air to pass through the space and causing the banner to act like a sail. This reduces the chance of it ripping, especially around the eyelets where the strain on the product may be at its greatest. This design feature also ensures that the banner still has enough printable area to display a vivid graphic that fulfils your advertising requirements. Please Note: These banners can be printed up to 25 metres x 1500mm without visible joins. Banners with larger specifications will contain a join.
If winds exceed 30mph, we would recommend taking down your mesh PVC banner to avoid damage to the banner itself and nearby property.
Hems & Eyelets
Banners will be given a reinforced hem, then eyeletted at equal distributions along the hem. Reinforced hems are created by folding over approximately 30mm of extra banner material to the backside of the banner creating a double thickness on the edges.
The standard distribution of eyelets is one per metre and we recommend leaving an inner margin of 60mm clear of any text. If you require a different distribution or specific placement of eyelets, that’s no problem at all - simply let us know what you need when you place your order.

A pocket is added to the edges you require to allow a pole to pass through and support and tension the banner an eyelet can also be placed at each edge to allow fixing of retaining loop required in some installations.
As standard we add a pole pocket suitable for a 60mm scaffold pole. You will need to add 180mm to each edge where a pole pocket is required as we produce the pockets inclusive of your overall size. Please let us know which edges (top/bottom/left/right) are to have pockets, as well as the diameter of the pole(s) being used if not our standard size.
Custom pole pocket sizes are available on request. If you need to calculate the pocket allowance area, please use this formula:
Pole Diameter × 2.5 + 30mm =??? add this to every edge where a pole pocket is required, however, if you let us know the diameter of the pole to go into the pole pocket we can calculate the size of the pocket for you.
The most common confusion with pole pockets arises when some customers expect the pockets to be added to the overall size of the banner ordered. Instead, we produce pockets inclusive of the overall size you order.
This requires you to add a pole pocket allowance area, which varies in size depending on the diameter of pole that will be used. This pocket allowance area should be used on any edge where a pocket will be required.
We recommend this area is kept free of any important content (text, logos) and only used for background images and colours.
