NCR Sets (Carbonless Paper)

Our NCR sets are created using carbonless paper. These sets – which are a popular option amongst our tradesmen – are available in A5 or A4 sizes, with 2 or 3 parts per set. FREE sequential numbering is provided with every order.

What is NCR Paper?

For decades, the only way to create duplicate copies of the same form was to write over the top of a sheet of carbon paper, which was made from a wax-based material. Writing on the top page would create an imprint in the page below, resulting in an exact copy underneath. The product worked, but the process involved in creating carbon paper was notoriously messy and time-consuming, which is why business owners the world over breathed a huge sigh of relief when specialist carbonless paper – otherwise known as NCR paper – was introduced back in the mid-20th century.

NCR paper is chemically treated to copy the above information to the below pages in the same way as carbon paper, but less writing pressure is required to get the same result. Each set contains pages in multiple colours to create copies for the business, the customer and any other third party involved in the transaction.

NCR Set Printing

Signs & Print offers custom NCR set printing services to businesses who need a practical, affordable stationery solution that’s completely on brand. Our NCR sets are produced by gluing 2 or 3 parts together using a specialist adhesive that recognises the coatings on the different types of paper. This allows each individual set to be ripped from the pad quickly and easily, with no mess and no fuss.

Plus, we make sure that each page is numbered sequentially to help you keep track of your invoices, purchase orders, receipts and delivery notes. Because we print all of our custom NCR sets in full colour using CMYK codes, we can embellish each pad with your company’s own graphics. You can simply choose to add your logo to each NCR set, or you can ask us to add more complex brand artwork and illustrations to your product if you wish.
